As a Senior Industry Relations Representative you will lead large-scale programs in support of our external engagement strategy and payment system improvement initiatives. You will primarily be responsible for FRFS executives’ strategic engagement within the payments industry. This entails the design and management of outreach and executive visibility to create industry awareness of our top priorities. In addition, you will be expected to partner on payments system improvement initiatives which includes working on emerging trends collectively with colleagues and the payments industry. You will lead efforts with a client focus, building positive relationships with stakeholders, and strong project management skills.
The level of work required is considered advanced and staff must be able to work under minimal supervision. This position does not have direct reports.

Your Responsibilities
- Develop and lead efforts that support executive visibility plans, consulting with internal stakeholders on objectives, prioritization, and impact to meet our high priority objectives.
- Promote payment system improvement initiatives to traditional and new audiences through individual and group industry meetings, speaking engagements, and conferences and events.
- Plan and coordinate industry discussion forums to solicit industry input into financial services strategy and payment system improvement initiatives.
- Lead efforts in developing and managing tools and processes to support central coordination of industry relationship activities including annual planning, meeting planning, messaging, and reporting.
- Capture, synthesize and report key learnings from industry interactions to inform business plans and decisions.
- Build complex project plans, coordinates reviews and approvals, proactively manages the process to meet deadlines.
- Build positive relationships with company partners and interact with executive level leadership across FRFS business lines and Federal Reserve System.
- Partner with marketing, sales, District outreach, public information and product teams as needed.
Your Background
- Bachelor's degree
- 5-8 years of relevant work experience in areas such as community relations, marketing, sales or corporate communications
Your Knowledge & Skills:
- Writing and editing skills with an ability to synthesize complex topics and information
- Excellent oral communication and executive presence skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a highly complex, fast-paced agile environment, geographically diverse, and matrixed organization
- Demonstrates aptitude to work cross-functionally and lead varying levels of teammates/leaders towards a vision
- Independent thinking, objective analysis, and decision-making abilities
- Advanced level of attention to detail resulting in high-quality programs
- Ability to negotiate and influence without direct authority and strong relationship management skills
- Preferred, not required: Possesses and applies strong knowledge of payments, FRFS and the payments ecosystem

Requirements
Must be willing to travel up to 10% of time.
This position requires access to confidential supervisory information and/or FOMC information, which is limited to "Protected Individuals" as defined in the U.S. federal immigration law.
