Position: Fabrication Manufacturing Technician
Location: Santa Rosa, CA, 95403
Duration: 24+ month with possible extension
Salary: USD $22 - $25 per hour on W2
Shift: Day Shift (3 on/4 off then 4 on/3 off, 9am - 9pm). Two schedules available:
Overview:
As a Fab Manufacturing Technician, you will play a crucial role in our GaAs Wafer Fabrication lab. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment and chemical tanks used for both Wet and Dry etching processes. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure the precise handling of chemicals, substrate inspection, and adherence to safety protocols in a cleanroom environment.

- Schedule 2: Friday-Sunday, every other Thursday
Overview:
As a Fab Manufacturing Technician, you will play a crucial role in our GaAs Wafer Fabrication lab. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment and chemical tanks used for both Wet and Dry etching processes. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure the precise handling of chemicals, substrate inspection, and adherence to safety protocols in a cleanroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain equipment and chemical tanks for Wet (Chemical) and Dry (Plasma) etching processes.
- Perform substrate processing, including high-density plasma etching and chemical baths, following stringent timing and procedural requirements.
- Inspect substrates using microscope equipment to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain chemicals and manage inventory in the assigned area.
- Accurately document and enter process data into computer systems.
- Assist with general cleanroom housekeeping and light lifting as needed.
- Utilize computer-based systems to determine and manage workload.
- Follow safety protocols, including proper chemical handling and cleanroom work procedures.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Semiconductor processing experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to quickly learn and follow verbal and written instructions related to safety, chemical handling, and wafer processing.
- Capability to sustain high-quality work in a fast-paced cleanroom environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing goals, objectives, and policies.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Strong work ethic with excellent attendance, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in using computers and learning new software programs.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for the entire shift, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and demonstrate excellent manual dexterity.
