About the Job
Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Facilities Lead Supervisor to ensure their scenic glamping property near a major national park remains operational, safe, and well-maintained for guests. The site includes glamping tents with private amenities (showers, toilets, wood-burning stoves) and facilities such as a laundry, restaurant, communal bathhouses, storage, and team housing. Reporting to the General Manager and coordinating with the Regional Facilities Manager, this year-round, non-exempt role involves leading, training, and supporting the Facilities Team in all maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Respond quickly and effectively to changing property situations
- Solve problems safely and efficiently
- Set clear expectations for the team in all operational areas
- Maintain professional communication with internal and external contacts
- Address guest and team issues promptly
- Interview candidates and collaborate with the GM on hiring decisions
- Participate in team member performance reviews and corrective actions
- Delegate and prioritize tasks for the facilities team alongside the General Manager
- Operate the camp independently when GM or AGM are unavailable
- Streamline processes for efficiency and effective resource use
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and communities
- Support growth and development of the team
- Develop, evaluate, and report on NPS and eNPS action plans
- Manage the Facilities budget, tracking purchases and expenses to meet financial goals
- Oversee and perform routine and preventive maintenance for property infrastructure, tents, and equipment
- Contribute to planning capital projects and purchases throughout the year
- Lead cross-departmental collaboration to create a cohesive environment
- Foster a guest-focused, positive work atmosphere
- Ensure implementation, updates, and maintenance of camp SOPs and expectations
- Collaborate with camp management and corporate team members
- Assist with maintenance of staff housing as needed
- Effectively prioritize and delegate tasks
- Participate in both camp-level and company-wide meetings
- Submit high-quality work on time

Working Conditions
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures

Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 2 years of maintenance technician experience, with 1 year in a supervisory role
- Experience with infrastructure systems (plumbing, septic, gas, electrical, generators, landscaping, road and well maintenance)
- Assist GM in building the annual maintenance department budget
- Capable of fulfilling duties in the absence of GM and AGM
- Strong customer service commitment
