Hours of Work: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (some overtime, some on-call weekends)
PrideStaff is recruiting for a Facilities Maintenance Assistant for 1st Shift for a laboratory facility located in Asheville .
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance tasks
- Light construction including plumbing, carpentry, wall patching, and painting
- Arrange and organize all off-site storage.
- Assist with document shredding program both on and off site.
- Furniture moves, repairs, and assembly including cubes, desks, shelving, and chairs.
- Help with lab equipment moves and installations when permissible.
- Help maintain exteriors in good condition
- HVACR systems maintenance and troubleshooting
- Install computer and telephone cable to individual ports.
- Troubleshoot and assist (with tech support) to repair lab equipment
- Maintain equipment, parts, supplies, and tools in an orderly fashion
- Collection and removal of recycling materials
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school education or GED.
- Minimum of one (1) year of facilities maintenance or residential repair work experience.
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication skills
- Be adaptable; accept changes quickly and easily
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry
- Good working knowledge of hand and power tools
- Basic math skills
- HVACR basic troubleshooting and maintenance
- Must supply your own basic hand tools
Hours of Work: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (some overtime, some on-call weekends)
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $17.00 - $18.00 Per Hour
