Facilities Maintenance Planner - General Atomics and Affiliated Companies

With minimal supervision, this highly skilled position is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance strategies for our building infrastructure to optimize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and reduce operational costs. This role requires advanced technical knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a focus on continuous improvement. This position also develops work orders that comply with appropriate laws and regulations while maximizing the use of internal resources.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Identify potential maintenance issues and develop preventative maintenance plans to address them.
+ Compile and analyze maintenance data and trends to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
+ Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures to prevent future occurrences.
+ Develop and maintain long-term maintenance strategies for all building infrastructure components aligned with organizational goals.
+ Finalizes Statements of Work (SOW) and ensures SOWs are in compliance with identified needs, appropriate regulations, contractual requirements, and Company policy.
+ Work with internal stakeholders, including engineers, project managers, maintenance technicians, and department heads, to develop the scope of maintenance requirements and ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
+ Monitor the progress of maintenance projects and ensure they are completed on time and within scope.
+ Maintain accurate records of all planner maintenance activities.
+ Audit existing maintenance records for accuracy and completeness. Identifies and corrects any discrepancies.
+ Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and new technologies related to building maintenance.
+ Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications:
+ Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and six or more years of progressive professional maintenance planning. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
+ Strong understanding of complex building infrastructure systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, and fire protection systems.
+ Extensive experience with computerized maintenance management systems (SAP preferred).
+ Advanced experience with cloud-based workflow automation platforms (ServiceNow preferred).
+ Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio) and other related software.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior staff.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Excellent time management and organizational skills.
+ Must be customer focused and possess the ability to identify issues, analyze data and develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
+ Must have experience organizing, planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates.
+ Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them in an evolving environment while contributing to the development of new processes.
