Position Summary/Objective
We are seeking a passionate, driven, detailed oriented and collaborative Facilities Manager to provide leadership and collaborate to create a safe, productive, and pleasant physical work environment that will support the Company's efforts to maximize sales, margin, and profit with a customer service focus. This position is responsible for the safety, security, maintenance, vendor management and supply chain of our cultivation and production facility in Fitchburg. The ideal candidate has the ability to adapt to our business model and has demonstrated leadership experience, as he or she will be given significant responsibility over the facilities of our business to deliver a best-in-class and innovative cannabis product. Previous cannabis experience is a plus but not required; however, all candidates should have some familiarity and comfortability with cannabis. Responsibilities
- Maintain all facilities equipment, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems, and infrastructure throughout site to ensure efficient operation and productivity targets
- Understand all aspects of production and adhere to strict safety, quality, sanitation and production standards
- Manage facility vendors, service agreements, repair schedules to keep operation running with proactive systems maintenance; develop a preventative maintenance schedule and integrate with site functions
- Effectively manage the repair, maintenance, custodial and safety budget while minimizing down time and assuring facilities are maintained to Good Manufacturing Practice
- Track and maintain spare parts inventory
- Ensure accurate documentation of repairs, site drawings, and equipment files
- Work with leaders to ensure site adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and is legally compliant with all OSHA, state, federal, and local regulations
- Develop and oversee an accident prevention plan to include fire, safety, evacuation, laboratory, and facility SOPs
- Work collaboratively with compliance, security, and transportation regarding compliance, loss prevention, security, and logistics on all mutual issues and in prioritization of needs
- Provide logistical support for production functions, including supply procurement and distribution logistics
- Lead facility initiatives and specific projects assigned by the Grow & Processing Leadership group.
- Manages the Facilities Technician and Sanitation teams in the facility
- Communicate relevant metrics demonstrating improvements in downtime, spend, and work quality.
- Other duties as assigned
- Reports to the Production Operations Manager
Qualifications
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
- Combination of education and experience will be considered
Work Experience:
- 5+ years of facility maintenance management experience
- Understanding of proper and safe handling of hazardous materials
- General knowledge of equipment and facilities upkeep, with a focus of industrial, MEP, plumbing, and Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems
- Experience or considerable exposure to a manufacturing or construction environment
- Ability to understand competitive landscape and trends and develop strategy and tactics accordingly
- Experience and proven track record in meeting facilities and maintenance goals in a competitive, dynamic environment
- Experience with administering a CMMS
- Work history that demonstrates stability, progressive responsibility, and willingness to accept new duties

Other Requirements:
- Extended time sitting, walking, bending, climbing and reaching is possible
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for a distance of 100 feet
- Must pass stringent background test requirements of Pennsylvania
- Certification(s) preferred: Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), Project Management Professional (PMP), EPA 608, First Aid/CPR
Compensation:
This position is classified as Exempt and is not eligible for overtime pay.
