The Woodlands at Stowe is seeking a Facilities Support Specialist with a great personality to join our small team! This team member will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: fostering resident relationships, assisting residents with various tasks, and answering the phones once the office staff has departed for the day. This role includes general maintenance, such as yard work as directed, and environmental services tasks. Additionally, the position is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the building and the well-being of the resident community.
Primary hours, for this role, will be Sunday through Thursday - 1pm - 9pm. Shift Differential available!
This position is Full-Time (PT available).

Responsibilities
- Ensuring that the property, both interior and exterior, meets the standards set forth by management. Tasks may encompass vacuum cleaning, assisting with kitchen cleaning, restrooms, and all public areas.
- Able to respond to emergency calls including LifeLine and assist residents as needed and coordinate additional services for emergencies as needed.
- Responsible for the overall security of the facility which includes systems and rounds during waking hours
- Direct contact with the residents and public, answering phones during evening hours, assessing the needs and understanding what a critical need is and what is not.
- Emergent issues, both residents and property, will be handled on a case-by-case basis and will be at the discretion of the Resident & Facility Support person on duty.
- Grounds - responsible for assisting in the overall appearance of the grounds, including but not limited to snow and ice removal, seasonal yard clean-up (raking & mulching) and other tasks as assigned.
- Property Maintenance & Environmental Services – works directly with the maintenance and housekeeping staff to assure tasks are getting completed in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Desired:
- Certification in the trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC)
Experience:
- 2-4 years experience general maintenance and environmental services
- Experience in gerontology, management maintenance and environmental services - Desired
