Key Responsibilities:
- Hearing Coverage: Attend and represent clients in Family Law hearings, ensuring strong advocacy and effective communication.
- Case Preparation: Conduct thorough legal research, prepare briefs, and draft motions and other legal documents necessary for hearings.
- Client Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with clients in both English and Spanish, providing updates on case progress and addressing any concerns.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other attorneys and legal staff to strategize and prepare cases, sharing insights and supporting team initiatives.
- Legal Research and Analysis: Stay informed on changes in family law and related legal areas; analyze legal issues to provide sound advice and effective representation.
- Training and Development: Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge in Family, Criminal, Civil, and Immigration law, ensuring readiness to cover diverse cases.
- Client Advocacy: Advocate for clients' best interests during hearings and negotiations, demonstrating empathy and understanding of their unique situations.
- Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all legal documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time, adhering to court rules and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in Spanish and English to effectively serve a diverse clientele.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Family Law; experience in Civil or Criminal litigation is a plus.
- Active PA or NJ Bar License.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
