About the Job
The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial machinery and equipment at customer sites. This role involves working directly with clients to ensure their machines are functioning efficiently and effectively. The technician provides technical support, performs service calls, and delivers exceptional customer service to maintain strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Setup:
- Install and configure new machinery and equipment at customer locations according to manufacturer specifications and customer requirements.
- Conduct initial tests and calibration to ensure machines are operating correctly.

Maintenance and Repairs:
- Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues to restore equipment to proper working condition.

Technical Support:
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients, addressing their questions and concerns regarding machine operation and performance.
- Train customers on the proper use, maintenance, and care of their equipment.

Inspection and Diagnostics:
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery to identify potential problems and perform diagnostic tests to determine the root cause of issues.
- Prepare detailed service reports and document all maintenance and repair activities.

Customer Relations:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients by delivering high-quality service and professional interactions.
- Address customer complaints and concerns promptly and effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.

Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations while working on-site.
- Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and industry trends to improve service quality and efficiency.
- Provide feedback to the company on potential improvements to products and services based on field observations.
Qualifications:

Education:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.

Experience:
- Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) as a Field Service Technician or similar role, with a strong background in servicing industrial machinery and equipment.
- Experience with specific types of machinery relevant to the industry (e.g., CNC machines, presses, conveyors) is highly desirable.

- Strong technical skills in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
- Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance management software.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
