- Team Leadership: Supervise and actively manage a team of irrigation and landscaping technicians, leading from the front and providing hands-on support as needed.
- Field Coordination: Visit multiple job sites to oversee project progress, assist with tasks, and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Hands-On Work: Engage directly in fieldwork, including using tools, operating machinery (e.g., skid steers, mini-excavators, trenchers), and troubleshooting complex issues.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect job sites regularly to ensure high-quality work and compliance with safety and company standards.
- Training and Mentorship: Train and mentor team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Client Relations: Maintain professional and courteous communication with clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring high satisfaction.
- Project Management: Oversee irrigation and landscaping projects from start to finish, coordinating tasks such as sod installation, planting, hardscaping, and more.
- Equipment Management: Operate, maintain, and transport landscaping equipment using company trucks and trailers, ensuring efficient use on job sites.
- Technology Use: Utilize company-provided smartphones and tablets for communication, reporting, and job management.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work meets local codes, safety regulations (including OSHA), and company policies.
- Licensing: Valid Irrigation License, Irrigation Technician License, or Backflow License is highly preferred, but not required initially. Training can be provided to obtain necessary certifications.
- Experience: Proven experience in irrigation installation and maintenance, or in related mechanically skilled trades such as construction, plumbing, HVAC, sprinkler fitting, landscaping, or in-ground pools.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the irrigation or landscaping industry is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!
- Solid understanding of residential and commercial irrigation systems, including electrical component troubleshooting and repair.
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and dedication to safety and quality.
- Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and handle physically demanding tasks.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and OSHA regulations is preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and be able to pass a background check.
