Summary: This position is a unique opportunity for those looking to enter the government contracting career path with a growing company that has an identified need to expand its finance and budgeting function. The position is cross-functional between analyzing finance data and budgeting on a project-level, in support of government contracting. Beyond learning key components of business operations and financial reporting, this position affords the opportunity to work with closely with the Program Management office on an existing prime contract in a lean and agile corporate structure. The primary means of learning will be on-the-job training, paced at the perspective candidates capabilities and prioritized based on contract and corporate organizational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Program Management Office (PMO) in the key areas of business operations and project finance supporting various project controls requirements
- Assist in project controls forecasting and reporting of operational performance internally to senior staff
- Directly support the Project Controls Manager in areas of data entry, project-based financial reporting, budgeting, invoicing, and other tasks as needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Requirements
- BA/BS, or near completion (preferably in the area of business, finance, economics, accounting, or similar degree field)
- Must be available October 2024
- Demonstrated leadership through organizations, clubs, or previous jobs
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Desire to work as part of a team and be collaborative
