Summary
As a Finance Integration Manager, you will report to the Vice President of FP&A and dotted line to the Flow Control Group Integration Director providing finance leadership, training, and onboarding to newly acquired business for all of Flow Control Group. This position will be responsible for representing the Finance team throughout the integration process, work with cross functional business team, and collaborate with Operating Group finance teams to ensure a seamless integration into the Flow Control Group Finance department. The Finance Integration Manager leads and coordinates the process, resources, data, and technology (Flow360, OneStream, etc) of building the acquired brand up to Accounting/Finance standards within a normal timeframe (~3 months) and whilst act as Finance and business partner with the Operating Group/Technology leader to achieve Revenue/EBITDA budget targets.
Responsibilities
Accounting Scope
- Lead accounting and finance related, post-close activities of acquired brands
- Partner with the brand controller to align legacy financial accounting data to Flow Control Group - Chart of Accounts, fiscal month/year cutoff, subledgers, payroll, post-close data, etc
- Coach brand controller on Flow Control Group's close processes and cadence and ensure monthly financials are reported timely and accurately to the OneStream consolidation system
- Align historical data to the Quality of Earnings and remediate deviations from US GAAP retrospectively and/or prospectively as well as adjustments to goodwill as needed
- Align brand financial process and business practices to Flow Control Group's financial policies
- Assess areas of risk associated with integrating all Finance/Accounting activities to Flow Control Group
- Provide leadership to the brand in areas of Finance/Accounting continuous improvement with examples from other Flow Control Group businesses and relevance to the acquired brand
- Support Corporate Controllership team with opening balance sheet activities as needed
FP&A Scope
- Ensure Quality of Earnings (QoE) adjustments identified in due diligence are actioned timely post-close
- Coach brand leadership on Flow Control Group's reporting cycles and expectations - Gross Profit & EBITDA Flash, Monthly Business Review, budget, monthly forecast, etc
- Implement and shepherd weekly and monthly routines, including P&L, Net Working Capital, and operational key performance indicators, to track performance vs. month/quarter/year-to-go budget targets and bring to surface any risks and/or opportunities proactively
- Partner with brand leadership and staff to analyze financial and operational data as well deliver objective, brand relevant insights
- Upskill brand controller and leadership team in areas of financial management and analysis, including but not limited to training and building analytical tools
Integration Project Management Scope
- Build out, formalize, and continuously improve the Flow Control Group's finance integration playbook, including integration planning, kick-off, fieldwork, and post-integration financial review plus formalized hand-off to Operating Group Finance
- Dedicated project management by establishing clear, measurable objectives and timelines; holding the brand accountable for assigned tasks; proactive brand and FCG leadership communication on integration progress; plan and act on integration setbacks and help the brand course correct
- Implement technology utilizing Microsoft Teams dashboards to provide an ongoing view on integration progress, objectives, and tactical integration responsibilities
Education and Experience
Must have strong communication skills, be a team player and coachable, and a self-starter. Exceptional at managing multiple priorities. Ability to comfortably work in a high-volume environment and manage multiple engagements for FCG's acquired brand companies.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Previous experience in FP&A in a business unit setting preferred
- Excellent analytical skills and proven ability to integrate new concepts organically
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- Previous experience in full cycle accounting processes is a plus (GL, AR/Billing, AP, Financial Reporting, Payroll)
- Highly organized and proactive; ability to effectively work independently and good instincts when to escalate issues or questions
- Identifies root causes systematically and solutions issues with pragmatic ideas that non-Finance partners can consume effectively
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to quickly build relations with brand leadership and staff
- Skilled and proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work in an ambiguous environment
- Must be able to fluently read, write, and speak English
- Up to 50% travel
