Position Overview:
A leading company specializing in the import and distribution of textile products across various industries, including food, healthcare, and hospitality, is seeking to fill a newly established role of Financial Manager. This key position, reporting directly to the Controller, will oversee financial budgeting and forecasting, financial modeling, business analytics, and providing critical financial analysis to support strategic decisions. The Financial Manager will lead a small team and collaborate closely with the accounting, operations, and sales departments, focusing on improving efficiencies, driving growth, and scaling the business.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Enhance the skills and capabilities of the finance and business analytics team, aligning with the companys growth and profitability strategies.
- Financial Analysis: Drive the development of financial analyses aimed at identifying cost-saving measures and growth opportunities to support the companys strategic goals.
- Financial Modeling: Spearhead the creation of new financial models and the integration of advanced tools such as PowerBI to forecast, track, and measure business outcomes, and create predictive models that inform business decisions.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes, covering areas such as G/L financials, sales and profit, working capital, and cash flows. Present performance reports to senior management.
- Project Management & Continuous Improvement: Act as a leader in implementing continuous improvement projects, enhancing financial performance through inventory management, cost reduction strategies, expense management, and ROI analysis for new automation projects and LEAN process implementations.
- Scalability: Develop KPIs to evaluate profitability, ROI, working capital investments, and free cash flow, driving accountability in areas like product costs, service levels, and expense control. Identify opportunities to improve existing processes for future business scalability.
- SIOP (Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning): Serve as the finance lead in the companys SIOP process, providing analysis to the Supply Chain, Operations, and Sales teams to maximize inventory efficiency. Manage the companys inventory cost accounting processes.
- Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in finance or accounting.
- At least 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role preferred.
- A bachelors degree in a business-related field is required; a masters degree in business is a plus.
- Proven success in driving cost savings, improving service levels, and ensuring product quality.
- Proficiency in ERP systems is required.
- Experience in a product-based company is essential, with cost accounting experience being an advantage.
- Advanced skills in Excel, with experience in MS Platform tools (PowerBI, PowerPivots, PowerQuery) being a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of financial planning and analysis is required.
