AWS Services Finance seeks a Finance Manager to join the EC2 Capacity and CapEx team, responsible for new product planning/analysis and controllership on CapEx spend. This position will work closely with finance and business leadership as well as key business partners across the AWS organization, including Product Managers, Capacity Management, Supply Chain, Forecasting, and Economists to drive thoughtful analysis and controllership in the EC2 business. He or she will have the opportunity to lead and influence multiple, high-visibility aspects of managing EC2 capacity including long-term planning, operational controllership, capital efficiency analysis, and ongoing capital reporting and analysis. Additional responsibilities include ad-hoc business analysis support. This role requires a self-starter with strong financial modeling abilities, robust problem solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong ownership, curiosity, passion for diving deep, and a desire to learn are ideal fits for this role.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage and develop the financial analysis processes
- Partner with and proactively communicate across the AWS finance community to coordinate a complex and interconnected series of deliverables.
- Support ad-hoc requests and assist in various requests from finance and business executives.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations.
- Partner with finance teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.
- Write and present narratives and analysis of AWS Infrastructure capital for senior leadership.
- Lead large scale initiatives and financial controllership
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, or CPA
- 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
