GENERAL FUNCTION
The Finance Manager plans, forecasts, reports and analyzes financial performance for a Brand/Business Unit team.MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates monthly results analysis and maintains effective controls over brand P&L.
- Completes detailed review of actual results on a monthly basis including fully understanding drivers of results.
- Coordinates obtaining variance explanations and reviewing for reasonableness.
- Prepares monthly/quarterly financial packet for Brand leadership including deep insights on drivers of the business.
- Develops annual plan and quarterly forecast.
- Develops and/or reviews forecast for line items; ensures there are adequate action plans to achieve forecast.
- Serves as a financial partner for home office cost center owners.
- Ensures all forecasts / plans are accurate.
- Creates easy-to-understand KPI reporting or dashboards as well as provides actionable key insights to improve results.
- Sets store sales goals and meets reporting deliverables related to associate commission and headcount planning.
- Participates in special projects and creates ad hoc analysis.
- Continuously researches and analyzes ideas for reducing Retail Bad Debt/Over Short.
- Supports analysts/collections team as they partner on key projects.
- Leads special cross functional projects.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
- 6+ years accounting and/or financial planning and analysis experience
- Experience with financial modeling
- Proficiency with systems (Excel, Hyperion, Business Objects, Essbase, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Strong analytical, data mining / report creation abilities
- Initiative – Demonstrates willingness and ability to be a self-starter, taking the initiative to solve problems/pursue business opportunities and/or opportunities to increase SGH efficiency
- Results Oriented – Remains focused on desired goal versus the process
- Creativity – Demonstrates ability to develop, without direction, new approaches, processes, solutions, etc.
- Decision Making – Makes sound business decisions, and if necessary, without a comprehensive fact base

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA
- CPA
- Experience with forecasting and statistical analysis techniques
