Our client is a dynamic public/private utility looking for a Business Systems Analyst to support their Finance and Accounting teams. This is initially a 6 month contract with possibility to extend. The client would prefer a candidate based in the San Jose, CA area, but will consider fully remote for someone with the right skills and experience.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Required Skills/Experience:
- 7+ years prior experience as a business systems analyst, with at least 2-3 full-lifecycle implementations of JD Edwards or other leading ERP applications.
- Prior experience in designing, implementing, and supporting complex business processes using JD Edwards or other leading ERP applications.
- Solid understanding of financial, procurement and inventory processes and controls.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Detail-oriented, able to prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines, and able to work in an efficient, quick, and organized manner.
- Prior experience in providing production support.
- Prior utility experience.
- Experience in Oracle JD Edwards ERP.
- Experience in Power Plan.
- Experience with Hubble for financial reporting

Business Systems Analyst – Financial/Accounting
Our client is a dynamic public/private utility looking for a Business Systems Analyst to support their Finance and Accounting teams. This is initially a 6 month contract with possibility to extend. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Finance/Accounting teams during month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing process.
- Address financial applications support requests.
- Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for system enhancements and customizations.
- Perform hands-on configuration in JD Edawards Financials and Supply chain modules (GL, AP, AR, PO, INV) and work with client stakeholders to ensure configurations are in alignment with business requirements.
- Ensure internal control compliance across finance systems/applications including access/change management to support the annual internal/external audits.
- Understand and analyze business processes, requirements, and challenges, and translate them into system solutions using JD Edwards, Power Plant, and other applications in our ecosystem.
- Lead assessment, of finance and supply chain automation projects addressing business requirements and business pain points.
- Partner with PMO and other business stakeholders to execute all phases of the implementation and/or development lifecycle – requirements, analysis, design, implementation, development, testing, and deployment.
- Provide functional support and design on development of custom solutions across Reports, Integrations, Conversions, and Extensions.
- Work with external vendors and consultants as needed for system integrations or specialized projects.
