S³, Inc. is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Business Operations team at our corporate HQ in Cummings Research Park, Huntsville, AL.
This is not a teleworking position.
Job Description:
The Financial Analyst acts as a key technical expert on financial analysis issues, concerns and special projects and interfaces with management, responding to their requests for financial data and to resolve reporting and compliance issues.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare special reports and financial studies for management and alerts them to significant variances in the plan.
- Coordinate, negotiate and resolve financial compliance issues with various governmental agencies to ensure accurate interpretation.
- Calculate the burden rate accurately for budgeting, pricing, project planning, and overall financial management.
- Determine provisional billing rates for interim purposes until final indirect rates are finalized for the fiscal year.
- Manage financial functions as assigned in budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and analysis.
- Assist in developing forward pricing rates for government proposals.
- Work with contract managers with PSRs, usage of overhead and G&A allocated budgets, compliance with FAR/DFAR, CPSR, and CAS regulations.
- Conduct and lead internal audits and support federal external audits.
- Supervise the work of lower level employees in the department.
- Work with multiple subsidiaries to the parent organization.
Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience working F&A under CAS regulations.
- 8 years of F&A corporate experience working with corporate subsidiaries with different corporate rate structures, such as forward pricing rates, burden rates, and provisional billing rates. 3-5 years of experience with FAR/DFAR working for a federal contractor.
- 3-5 years of F&A corporate experience working with corporate subsidiaries with different rate structures.
- 3-5 years' experience working with federal contract Program Managers with analysis of Program Status Reports.
- 5-7 years of accounting and financial experience with Deltek Costpoint.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or related discipline.
- 4+ years of experience leading/conducting internal corporate financial audits.
- 3-5 years of experience with Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPR), and CAS compliance.
- 3-5 years of pricing experience contributing to federal contract proposal bids.
- Experience working in corporate F&A for a DoD contractor of greater than 500 employees.
- Experience supervising lower level F&A full time employees.
