A global law firm consistently ranked among the top firms in the world, is seeking a Financial Analyst—Pricing and Profitability to join our dynamic team in our Global Services Office, located in downtown Los Angeles.
Responsibilities:
As a Financial Analyst—Pricing and Profitability, you will be responsible for applying financial, analytical, and business support. Other key responsibilities include:
- Performing profitability and “what if” scenario analyses to support pricing decisions for firm management
- Collaborating with Business Development Team on new engagement opportunities by creating competitive and innovative fee proposals that meet strategic and financial goals
- Assisting relationship attorneys with client rate negotiations by offering pricing advisory service and analytical support that lead to successful outcomes
- Researching and identifying existing/historical firm matters to create standardized pricing templates that assist attorneys in developing budgets for new matters
- Conducting internal analyses and external industry research around billable rates, fee structures, and pricing trends that drive key business decision making
- Preparing presentation materials for ongoing pricing strategy discussions with Firm leadership
- Assisting with the on boarding process of newly hired lateral attorneys by performing billable rate reviews and conducting pricing orientation sessions
- Maintaining pricing approval database by inputting key approval information. Creating analyses and designing reports/presentations to display pricing trends
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- A minimum of two (2) years of related analytical experience in finance or accounting
- Experience responding to ad-hoc requests, developing analysis, and producing reports
