Job Title: Financial Analyst
Duration: 5 months contract + extension
Location: Hybrid in NYC, NY 10178
Description:
Role Overview
· Support the Bank's analytical and financial reporting processes that includes revenue and expense variance analysis, cost allocations, compliance analysis, fixed assets reporting, budgeting, and various executive management reporting. Also participate in special projects as required.
· Duties include, but not limited to.
· Assist in the monitoring of operating expense accounts in the Bank's general ledger for accuracy and integrity of the transactions. Prepare the necessary adjusting journal entries and advise other units of the Bank on operating expenses.
· Upload the actual data from the GL system into the Infor budgeting system daily and update the transactional data for all operating expenses and selected balance sheet accounts for use in analyzing daily account activity.
· Monitor the project expenditures charged to the Lawson Project and Activity Accounting module for accuracy and integrity of the transactions that includes the capitalization of the projects and disposal of fully depreciated assets. Also, advise managers in other units of the Bank on how to charge these expenditures correctly.

Experience
· Minimum six years' experience in budgeting and financial reporting such as financial forecasting and analysis in a Banking or Financial institution.
· Working knowledge of workday General Accounting and Budgeting applications preferred.
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, or Mathematics required. MBA or MS in Finance preferred.
