This is an on-site position that can be based out of Shields Manufacturing in Tualatin, Oregon, or out of Viper Northwest in Albany, Oregon. Attendance is an essential job accountability, and this position will be a Monday-Friday Day Shift Schedule. Occasional travel may be required between West Coast locations.
Shields Mfg and Viper Northwest are looking for a Financial Analyst to assist in developing and preparing reporting regarding financial operations, costing, and profitability. This individual will assist in month end close, financial, and inventory audits. In addition, they will utilize systems and develop tools to facilitate a deeper insight into business performance as well as assists in developing, modifying and updating financial models.
Reports To: FPA Manager
Accountabilities: Accountable for understanding and following all SOPs and WIs related to job duties while supporting 6S and Lean Manufacturing concepts. Ensures compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. Administers financial reporting systems with controls and standards to safeguard company assets. Ensures that timely and accurate financial information is maintained.
Duties:
- Manages inventory audits and assists with inventory counts.
- Assist with financial audits of company accounts.
- Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies.
- Review and analyze company financial records weekly, including general ledger entries, job cost, variance to standards, etc. Verify accuracy, present findings to the leadership team.
- Contribute to month end close, including completing monthly reconciliations of revenue and inventory, and completing JEs for specific P&L accounts.
- Prepare and analyze month end, quarter end, and year end reports. Present findings to the leadership team.
- Assist with financial planning for the sites, including monthly forecasts and annual budgets.
- Manage capital expenditure process at sites, including maintaining capital project log, and reporting capital spend and variance to budget to key stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally on ad-hoc projects.
- Employees will operate in compliance of all recognized standards that Precinmac adheres to (such as AS9100, ISO 9000), including all supporting policies and procedures.
Job Qualification Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Experience: At least four years of experience in accounting and finance.
- Experience with Microsoft Office – with specific emphasis on advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting, general ledgers and key financial statements.
- Must be able to multi-task and think of the “big picture”.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to organize and efficiently analyze multiple sets of data and tell “the story”.
- Ability to identify financial drivers and create analytical tools to track and explain their impact.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and tactfully negotiate priority with end users.
- Ability to work well with others and maintain inter-department relationships.
- Ability to work under deadline pressure.
- Must be in compliance with ITAR standards, providing documentation of US Citizenship or Permanent Residency in the United States of America.
