Financial/Budget Analyst II - Blue Sky Innovative Solutions

Blue Sky Innovative Solutions is looking for a temporary Budget Analyst I to assist our County government customer. The Budget Analyst I will be responsible for maintaining financial records, running reports for management, and recording a wide range of financial transactions.

• Upper Marlboro, MD Fully Onsite

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

• None

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• The ideal candidate will have entry level budgetary experience that will supply them with the knowledge to perform budgetary functions in support of the entire department. They will have strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to interpret financial reports and track budgetary data. They will also demonstrate payroll processing abilities and familiarity with UGK Kronos. They should also be proficient in Microsoft Suite.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have at least 3 years of working experience

• Must have knowledge of modern clerical accounting practices

• Must have hands-on experience working with financial accounts including payroll and billing accounts

• Must have experience with Time and Attendance

• Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel billing, filing, and record keeping.

• Advanced ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work well under time constraints

• 8:30 am 5:00 pm

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or GED

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

• Must have the use of sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public using the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle, or feel objects and controls. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to a, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine. No significant climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America. Sponsorship will not be a part of this contract
