Miracle Kids Success Academy (MKSA) is an early intervention day treatment clinic for children with special needs. Once children are referred to KULA by their primary care physicians, they must receive a developmental screening. Then, they may be scheduled for therapy evaluations at MKSA or bring recent therapy evaluation reports done elsewhere. To receive Early Intervention Day Treatment habilitation services, a child must have a documented developmental disability or delay, as shown on the results of an annual comprehensive developmental evaluation and qualify for at least one therapy service. Those services include (but are not limited to) fine motor delays, sensory disorders, gross motor delays, speech-language delays, hearing disorders, feeding disorders, developmental delays, cognitive delays and medical needs.
We are experiencing tremendous growth and need a Financial Coordinator to help fuel our expansion. We are looking for an exceptional candidate to assist us with accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll processing.
The successful candidate in this position will play a critical role in the support of our finance and administrative team. This role requires a customer-service-focused attitude and offers a well-rounded financial position with opportunities for growing knowledge and experience in all facets of accounting, payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & BASIC DUTIES
- Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time
- Conduct full-cycle Accounts payable
- Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
- Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis
- Provide administrative assistance to the controller
- Provide customer service to internal business partners
- Help with internal and external audits as required
- Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
- Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed
- Provide information, as requested to the sales/marketing department, shippers, customers, and other stakeholders
- Communicate, reinforce, and support the values, culture, and mission of the organization
- Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks
- Settle bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in a variety of ledgers
- Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans
- Verify documents and codes
- Demonstrated analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.
- Data entry into Excel and the payroll system
- Download and distribute/save reports as instructed
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience Required:
- Minimum 3-5 year's accounts payable/receivable and payroll experience
- High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with Quickbooks
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
