• Sell and design fire alarm systems in compliance with NFPA 70, NEC, IBC, FDNY regulations, and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) standards.
• Prepare and submit new fire alarm system applications to FDNY and AHJ, coordinating with an approved expediter to ensure all procedural requirements are met.
• Engineer fire alarm systems, including the development of wire and device riser diagrams.
• Maintain familiarity with all relevant NYC forms, including B-45, A433, and TM-1.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure fire alarm designs comply with code requirements and project specifications.

• 7–10 years of experience in fire alarm system design and engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 and NYC Fire Codes.
• Established client base with an estimated 100+ customers.
• Strong professional relationships with engineers, architects, and electricians.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for project tracking and documentation.
• Proficient in CAD software for fire alarm system design.
• Strong understanding of FDNY and AHJ submission processes for new and altered fire alarm applications.
• Experience with fire alarm products such as Edwards, Kidde, Vigilant, and Notifier.

Pay range in New York:

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and education. 

Base Range: $95,000-$105,000/yr
