**Placement & Retention Bonus**
You will be eligible to receive both a placement and retention bonus in the total gross amount of $850.00, provided that you remain actively employed with the Company and are not on a Performance Improvement Plan at the time these bonuses are to be paid. The placement bonus ($500.00) will be included in your paycheck within the first month after you are placed at a school site, and the retention bonus ($350.00) will be included in your last paycheck of the school year.
Who We Are: Point Quest Pediatrics focuses on providing meaningful and functional behavioral, mental health, and speech and language services to students ages 5 to 22 years of age. Pediatrics strives to equip each student with the skills and strategies needed to successfully execute their academic program in the least restrictive environment possible. Pediatrics partners with contracting school districts to assist them in serving their students who qualify for services and assessments as outlined in the student's IEP.
Purpose of the position: Under general supervision, the Behavioral Aide is responsible for working with at-risk and/ or children with disabilities in a school setting.
Job Group Classification: Pediatrics
Overtime Status: Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $20-$22.50 per hour
Travel: IIndividuals that would be in this role would need to have the flexibility to work within an assigned region at a different school/site (locations may be 30+ miles one-way) with a different student each day.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist the teacher in implementing the students’ Individual Education Plans (IEP)
- Report to different locations 30+ miles one-way within the assigned region
- Able to understand and implement a BIP
- Provide instructional support in content areas, as directed by the teacher
- Implement the classroom or social behavior management system, including coaching students so that they can quickly return to school tasks
- Intervene during crises situations, including implementation of Pro-ACT and/or CPI
- Help maintain the physical school environment to keep it functional, safe, and clean
- Supervise students during class breaks and during lunch
- Assist students with eating, using the bathroom (may include the changing of diapers), and moving from one classroom to another
- Participate in, and/or facilitate recreational activities of various sorts (i.e. athletic, arts, and crafts, off-campus trips, cultural awareness, etc.)
- Model ABA methodologies for the purpose of demonstrating their use in increasing or decreasing targeted student behaviors
- Maintain consistent awareness of the client’s whereabouts to ensure safety, including directing clients to appropriate groups or areas in the community or school. Including but not limited to, transportation transitions
- Implement provided written assignments, as needed
- Accurately record data on student behavior, skills progression, student care and learning objectives, as directed
- Confer with agency staff on student status or the need for additional behavior planning
- Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities
- Respond to emergency situations (e.g. injured students, fights, seizures, etc.) for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
- Must be flexible to report to a different location within the assigned region, if applicable
- Respond quickly and effectively to requests made by Lead Aide and/or Supervisors
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned

- Needs to have consistent and reliable transportation to be able to get to any of the school sites within their respective regions. Candidates would need to be flexible with receiving and responding to case details that may be received as early as 6:00 AM when we are staffing substitutes. They would need to be adaptable and willing to work with a multitude of populations, from preschool through adult transition programs.
Minimum Skills or Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Experience working in a school or treatment setting for students with learning, social, emotional, or mental disabilities.
- DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance
- Valid and current driver's license
- Pro-Act, CPI, and/or CPR certification helpful
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes
- Requires frequent reaching, handling, sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, running, carrying, and lifting 50 or more lbs.
- Must be able to see and hear within normal range with or without correction.
- The noise intensity level is moderate to high
