About the Job
Job Responsibilities: Operates Folder/Gluer Machine to develop end-result printed packaging material in accordance with customer specifications:
- Operate and adjust gluer machine, troubleshoot and monitor operation.
- Prepares gluer by performing a variety of tasks to produce a consistent, high quality product
- by precise control of feeding, take over and inverting of batches of blanks, setting automatic
- loading and constant blank heights maintaining steady and precise feeding at all speeds making adjustments as needed to exceed customer expectation.
- By performing a variety of make ready tasks utilizing quick and easy settings for high productivity and precision operations, resolves any defects and adjustments to produce high quality product.
- Oversee General technicians working on equipment.
- Make adjustments, clear jams, while processing product, maintaining speed and quality.
QUALITY:
- Ensure quality of jobs completed by reviewing for quality and accuracy. Makes sure jobs are complete and error free.
- Ensures finished product exceeds customer expectations.
- Ensure all checklists are completed.
- Support and communicate all ISO standards and quality objectives to the Team.
OHSE AND CLEAN:
- Ensures complete adherence and compliance to the OHSE and Clean policies.
- Assists team members in maintaining clean and safe environment.
- Maintains and follows all company policies and procedures for safety, PPE and hazard materials/waste handling according to established guidelines.
- Follows all PPE procedures at all times.
- Follows established procedures and guidelines for the handling and disposal of all hazardous materials/waste.
- Maintains and wears proper uniform according to company policy.
- Use Company provided safety lifting equipment.
- Properly stores and arranges work area to maintain cleanliness and safe environment following all safety rules and regulations for grounding, storage, spill clean-up, etc.

Key Requirements:
- Prior experience with folding cartons within the food packaging industry.
- High School diploma (or GED).
- Minimum of 3 years of Folder/Gluer equipment operation within the food packaging industry.
- Must have interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must possess basic computer skills and mathematical skills necessary to compute percentages, weights and measures.
- Capable of running straight line, auto-bottom, 4 and 6 corner cartons.
Physical Demands:
- This position requires prolonged periods of standing, stooping, bending and/or reaching,
- balancing, climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching with hands and arms, hearing and speaking.
- Frequent lifting in excess of 30 lbs is required.
- Must be able to hold, touch, feel and manipulate with hands product and equipment in a safe manner. Manual dexterity is required.
- Use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability
- to adjust focus as well as good eye-hand coordination.
- Must be able to rotate shifts and be available to work in excess of 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week when necessary to meet customer product needs.
