Scope of Position
The F&B Analyst will be responsible for supporting all analysis in our Food and Beverage divisions at the Caribe Royale Orlando and Buena Vista Suites Orlando; this includes running various daily/weekly/monthly reports to analyze food consumption, assisting in forecasting of covers and food costing. Developing templates to reduce waste and streamline menus. Analyst will partner with the F&B team to find ways to simplify steps while finding cost savings opportunities. Analyst will also help manage monthly/quarterly invoices. This position includes ad-hoc project work and must have good presentation skills.
Position Requirements
- At least 2 years' experience as an Analyst. Hospitality experience preferred.
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in mathematics with the skill to translate mathematical information into understandable reports.
- Report writing and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical communication and organizational skills required.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills.
- Basic knowledge of F&B operations and planning procedures.
Responsibilities
- Monthly reviews and analyses using operational metrics and reports.
- Develop F&B forecasts to provide procurement with the tools to make better decisions.
- Help prepare any reporting or documentation for our financial statement.
- Processes monthly and quarterly invoices.
- Report on slow- and fast-moving items to eliminate waste or shortages.
- Develop customer templates so venues only order what is needed for their space.
- Monitor performance vs the forecast throughout the year identifying any key shifts or trends.
- Assist with product forecasting when menu changes or preference shifts.
- Finding patterns and trends in analyzed data and make recommendations to improve.
- Responsible for ad-hoc analysis for various F&B projects.
- Assisting in procedural manuals for F&B team.
- Any other reasonable request made by management.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Hospitality is required and/or related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate in the English language. Second language is a plus.
- Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to create and maintain spreadsheets.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly, correctly, and in a way that allows one to solve work-related issues.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Experience using computers and software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends and able to perform multiple tasks.
Physical Requirements
- On a continuous basis, sit at a desk for long periods of time in front of a computer screen.
- Intermittently twist to reach equipment or supplies surrounding desk.
- Use telephone and computer keyboard on a daily basis.
- Must be physically fit in order to lift, pull and push items up to 25 pounds.
- Also requires standing/walking/reaching and bending throughout shift.
