Food & Nutrition Services -Diet Aide - Tamarac Rehabilitation and Health Care Center

Perform a variety of dietary related functions designed to produce three (3) healthy meals daily, in a safe and clean surrounding, according to government regulations.

Specific Duties:

1. Assist in setting up trays and serving carts.
2. Packs and pushes serving carts to units.
3. Deliver trays to various resident dining rooms.
4. Assist dishwasher in preparing dishes and utensils for washing.
5. Washes dishes/pots
6. Store clean dishes/pots and utensils properly.
7. Prepare coffee/drinks as directed.
8. Maintain clean and sanitary work area by:

-Daily cleaning of all equipment and surfaces

-Return all items to proper storage areas

-Clean spills immediately

      9. Assist in preliminary preparation of foods as directed.

    10. Perform other selected duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

1. Able to read, write and carry out verbal and written instructions.
2. Previous experience desirable but not necessary.
3. Ability to lift and push heavy objects and stand for an extended period of time.
4. Maintain neat and clean appearance.
