Unit Description
Sodexo is currently seeking a Food Production Manager - 3 to join our Campus Services team at Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans, LA. The Production Manager will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for inventory, ordering, and day-to-day oversight of all culinary operations at the account.

Inventory
Plate Cost Management
Recipe Compliance
Managing Staff
The successful candidate will:
- Have 3-5 years operational management experience in a high-volume food service dining environment.
- Be a people person with a strong focus on maintaining positive client relations; a solid manager/leader who is perceptive and has attention to details that make a difference – quality and presentation of food.
- Be SERVICE focused– including providing excellent customer service in a welcoming dining environment.
- Be proficient in use of online Food Management Systems for menu/recipe planning, ordering and inventory;
- Demonstrate proven financial acumen/success: Food costs/ labor costs, budgets.

- have high volume food service experience that includes catering;
- have contract food service experience, preferred;
- have experience managing staff in a union environment, preferred;
- have food service experience in a high-end establishment, preferred;
- can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and have a passion for a high level of customer service; and/or
- prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceBasic Management Experience - 2 years Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
