About the Job
- Maintain all Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs and certifications
- Manage, lead, and develop the Quality Control team to follow company QC and HACCAP plans
- Ensure production facility adheres to regulatory, Food Safety, and company standards
- Perform internal audits
- Ensure Food Safety and Quality policies and procedures are maintained
- Manage all internal documentation within the facility
- Verify daily QC and QA records
- Maintain product specifications and ensure compliance within the facility
- Manage and develop company SOP’s and HACCAP plans
- Assist QA leadership in the development and implementation of new procedures
- Contribute to the development of new products and processes with a focus on food safety and quality control
- Perform customer return audits and assist with root cause analysis and corrective action
- Plan, prepare and participate in all audits including organic, kosher, customer, FDA, internal and 3rd party
- Sustain and improve ratings on annual certifications
- 4+ years, experience in leading Food Safety & QC Teams in food manufacturing
- 3+ years, experience as a decision maker responsible for interactions with customers, suppliers, regulators, and production leadership
- BS in Chemistry, Biology, Food Safety, Food Science, or related, required
- HAACP Certification, required
