Our client is a well-known food manufacturer, specializing in dairy products
This organization is seeking an experienced Food Scientist to join their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$90k – $100k Depending on experience
Position Overview:
The Food Scientist will be focused on exploring various food ingredients, driving product and process innovation, conducting application studies, and managing scale-up operations
The Food Scientist should come from a background in dairy products with additional experience/knowledge in food flavors, ingredients, chemistry, shelf life, and safety.
Responsibilities of the Food Scientist:
Offer technical expertise and support to customers and various business functions.
Lead or participate in scale-up and commercialization efforts at remote sites as needed.
Assist in keeping the laboratories and pilot plant in a clean and optimal condition.
Engage in brainstorming sessions and product evaluations.
Document research and development efforts, preparing and submitting reports while ensuring confidentiality.
Lead related application work, including analytical assessments, shelf life studies, and sensory evaluations.
Provide product samples for cross-functional assessments and customer testing.
Investigate innovative and alternative ingredients and technologies within assigned areas.
Oversee designated projects focused on ingredient testing and product-process development, from initial concept through to scale-up.
Qualifications for the Food Scientist:
3+ years as a Food Scientist.
Background in dairy products and cheese.
Strong experience in R&D.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
