About the Job
Education and/or Experience:
1+ year of Serving and/or Front of House experience.
Experience in high volume catering or food service is preferred.
Specialized Qualifications:
Excellent listening and communication skills
Renowned time management and organization skills
Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond a client’s needs.
The ability to work alone and as a team.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
Must be exceedingly responsible and accountable.
Work Environment
The work environment for this position will mainly attend to the Student Athlete Training Table located in DUKE University food hall or athletic venues. This position will move in and out of the kitchen and food service area including but not limited to coolers, freezers, and other sanitary places. This position may also move throughout campus and stadium grounds on different terrains.

Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of standing, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue
Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items
Ability to perform physical tasks; such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 30 lbs.

Position Salary & Benefits:
This is considered a part-time hourly position.
The schedule for this position may range depending on business needs but will often consist of either a morning shift covering breakfast operations or a later shift covering dinner service.
