II. SUMMARY OF ASSIGNMENT
Under the general supervision of Food Services Director or Assistant Director, provides lead direction to employees in elementary school kitchens. Supervises the preparation, assembly, service, and meal accountability for the school. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all food service related tasks including ordering, POS system, communication with school principal, daily reports and inventory.
III. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provides daily direction to kitchen staff in the preparation of food products, line assembly, service, cleaning, sanitation, and safety.
- Determines the quantities of food products to be ordered and prepares food to meet sufficient needs of students on a daily basis.
- Prepares or ensures preparation of daily cash reports and revenue received, deposits and related administrative duties.
- Maintains health, safety, and sanitation standards of the District.
- Supervises the cleaning, proper use, and storage of kitchen equipment.
- Ensures POS system and student account system maintenance.
- Maintain open communication with building administrators, staff, and students.
- Complete periodic physical inventory.
- Train employees, review their work, and provide input for evaluations.
- Performs other duties as required.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A. Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of successful food service work experience.
B. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to understand and use the POS system.
- Ability to direct the food service program, staff, and other related tasks.
- Ability to accurately completed required reports.
- Ability to accurately follow verbal and written directions and work at a moderately fast pace.
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, administrators and other school staff.
- Knowledge of and the ability to operate institutional kitchen equipment.
- Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.

V. DESIRABLE QUALIFCATIONS
- Three (3) years of successful supervisory experience.
- WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed both in a food kitchen and lunchroom facilities. Exposure to extreme heat and cold, moderate noise levels, cleaning chemicals, and sharp blades, and industrial food service equipment. Ability to left 40 pounds and push/pull 50 pounds; standing for extended periods of time, walk, stoop, bend, crouch, and carry items requiring a moderate amount of physical effort are all required.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Employment with Clover Park School District is conditional pending completion of a Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint background check as required by RCW28A.400.303. (NOTE: All associated background check fees are the employee’s responsibility.) The fingerprint scan must be completed prior to the first day of employment.
