Food Services - Spherion

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Cook/Dishwasher to join our culinary team. This dual-role position involves preparing delicious meals while ensuring cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in food preparation and handling, and will be passionate about providing excellent service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables and marinating meats.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, ensuring all utensils and equipment are sanitized.
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently to support kitchen operations.
Follow food safety regulations and best practices for food handling to prevent contamination.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service and assist where needed.
Help with inventory management by reporting low stock levels of kitchen supplies.
Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, grills, fryers, and knives.

Working hours: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Skills:
Previous experience in a dietary department or restaurant setting is preferred.
Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
Strong culinary skills with the ability to prepare various types of dishes.
Excellent teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings and weekends.
A positive attitude and strong work ethic are crucial for success in this role.

High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
Must be able to work from 6:30am-3:00pm and 9:00am-6:30pm. Rotating weekends.
