JOB SUMMARY:
When Location Manager delegates, this position assumes direct responsibility for managing
location assets and personnel at his/her location to meet established location goals and strategies
in support of the regional strategic plan.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must satisfactorily perform each of the essential functions, duties and responsibilities listed
below:
- Manages location operations in support of company and division goals and strategies.
- Ensures the accurate and timely completion of documents as required by Austin Powder Company policy and federal, state and local agencies.
- Orders, maintains and inventories appropriate products, supplies, vehicles and equipment for the location to maximize asset utilization to meet customer requirements.
- Communicates customer and community concerns to appropriate company personnel.
- Manages the use, cost and maintenance of fixed assets assigned to the location.
- Maintains fixed asset lists of all equipment assigned to the location.
- Adheres to site security standards and housekeeping guidelines.
- Conducts timely inspection and maintenance of all location assets in order to control operational costs and to maximize equipment availability.
- Maximizes the utilization of equipment to successfully meet all agreed upon customer requirements and operating budget.
- Ensures adequate training and certification for location personnel.
- Leads and develops a team through action and commitment to meet location goals and customer requirements.
Safety & Compliance
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by assuring regulatory compliance (MSHA, OSHA, ATF, DOT, etc.) at the location, at customer sites, and during transit.
- Ensures compliance with APC inventory management procedures.
- Act as company liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections and other incidents involving company assets and/or personnel.
- Conducts all required safety and health training for all location personnel as required by MSHA, OSHA, ATF, DOT, etc.
- Provides leadership in Emergency Response.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
May perform any of the functions, duties and responsibilities of any positions that report to the
position in the event that a subordinate is unavailable or unable to perform those functions, duties
and responsibilities in question.
Qualifications/Education:
- Must have acquired at a minimum a High School Degree or GED equivalent.
- Supervisory experience
- Prior budgetary responsibility
- Prior office experience (paperwork, filing, scheduling)
- Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Inventory Management software)
- Must demonstrate competency and proficiency in the following skills and/or abilities.
- Time and priority management skills, includes organizational skills.
- Equipment/vehicle knowledge and operational skills, including maintenance.
- Supervisory management and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
