Incumbents identify potential institutional clients, prepare presentations, follow up on client contacts, and close sales
Also responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with both internal and external referral sources
May include supervisory duties for other sales team members.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFollowing is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.Core Responsibilities will be focused, but not limited to identifying prospective clients and initiating and cultivating relationships to position the practice optimally for success in competing for and winning new business mandates.Supporting and cultivating our Truist Integrated Relationship Management Partners for opportunities within Commercial, Wealth teams, Senior Living as well as other teams, across the Northeast region, including, Greater Washington, DC, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, and New York. This should include in person as well as virtual support within each region identified.High capacity for independent critical thinking applied to the development of prospect identification, education, and cultivation opportunities.Implementation of prospect data capture and analysis in CRM system and leveraging data capabilities to enhance practice positioning.Very strong presentation and quantitative explanatory capabilities to develop an investment and value proposition narrative.Very highly developed intellectual framework to interact with internal and external partners in a manner that inspires confidence.Development of and contribution to practice team best thinking on communications approaches related to investment marketsDevelopment of materials and approaches to enhance the communication of the FESP practice value propositionCultivation of existing and new relationships to expand practice opportunities within geographic markets and participation in new business process and presentationsProviding leadership for deal teams in new business opportunities as well as with prospecting, outreach and entertainment type of events to further our brand and name recognition.Support the team by being a good team player across the practice with regards sales and, on occasion, retention.Strong knowledge of Investment Themes and practices, including our process and philosophy within the Foundations and Endowments Practice delivery modelREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree7 or more year of investment sales experience with complex and sophisticated clientsStrong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skillsKnowledge of moderate to complex investment solutionsAbility to work in collaborative environmentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSGraduate degree in management or finance-related fieldDemonstrated interest and engagement in the not for profit sphereTruist stands for betterOur relentless pursuit of better at Truist means we’re always looking forward
