Job Overview
We are an agile, scrappy startup scaling rapidly, and we are looking for a highly experienced Media Buyer to manage our digital media buying strategies across multiple platforms. If you're an expert in optimizing media spend and driving high-performance campaigns, we want to hear from you! We are seeking a self-starter who has experience in customer acquisition and driving results in the lead generation space.
This is a freelance position that will require about 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and optimize DSP media buys, including platforms like The Trade Desk, across digital channels (social, search, display, programmatic).
- Oversee daily media buying operations, including bid management, pacing, audience targeting, and creative performance to maximize conversions and hit CPL/CPA targets.
- Leverage real-time bidding (RTB) strategies and frequency capping to optimize campaign delivery and audience engagement
- Conduct in-depth competitive analysis to identify new opportunities for creative testing and audience segmentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and ad networks to refine targeting strategies and establish new traffic sources.
- Research, negotiate, and manage digital media campaigns, staying updated on platform changes and trends to maintain cutting-edge strategies.
Skills required / qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in digital media buying, specializing in Performance Marketing and lead generation.
- Expertise in managing and optimizing DSP ad campaigns (e.g., The Trade Desk, MediaMath).
- Strong knowledge of programmatic buying, including RTB, bid management, frequency capping, flight planning, and campaign execution across DSPs.
- Proficient in multi-channel inventory management, ensuring pacing and budget efficiency.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in A/B testing and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and digital advertising regulations so campaigns adhere to privacy and compliance standards.
- PProficient in tracking tools like Google Analytics, Excel, and custom dashboards.
- Deep knowledge of auction dynamics and bidding strategies on programmatic and social ad platforms.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to align DSP strategies with business goals.
- Familiarity with emerging trends in digital marketing and DSP technologies.
- Bonus: Experience in Fintech, B2C SaaS, or subscription-based models with significant media budgets.
