Freezer Picker/Driver-2nd Shift - 1-800-Flowers Family of Brands

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for accurately picking product (finished gifts) using an RF scanner in cold storage (-10° to 40°).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


* Pick product using a RF scanner in cold storage pulling the correct SKU and quantity


* Use RF scanner to input data into warehouse management system


* Palletize product and moves pallet to staging area using a hand-jack


* Able to meet or exceed production standards


* Comply with all SQF (safe Quality Food) standards


* Maintain reasonable and reliable attendance

EDUCATION AND/OOR EXPERIENCE


* Some high school education required


* 6 months experience working in a distribution center desirable


* Basic reading and math skills (counting, matching, adding, subtracting, and multiplying) required


* PC skills or previous inventory scanning equipment experience required

PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORK EFFORT


* Able to work in cold storage for the entire shift (-10° to 40°)


* Able to walk and stand for the entire shift (10-12 hours)


* Utilize a hand-jack in a controlled and safe environment


* Able to lift 20-30 lbs. continuously, and 50lbs. occasionally


* Able to climb stairs in cooler and freezer


* Able to maintain reasonable and reliable attendance

* 6 months experience working in a distribution center desirable

* PC skills or previous inventory scanning equipment experience required
