In accordance with California law, the expected hourly rate for this California position is $19.00 per hour.
Responsibilities:Under the direction of the Shift Manager, a Production employee may be
assigned to fill the bottom (job) in any unit within the plant. Assignment may be
to work on a rotating shift for any unit in need of a replacement worker and is
expected to perform related duties assigned by supervisor.
Production duties include but are not limited to housekeeping tasks such as -
sweeping, shoveling, pushing hoppers, painting, driving plant vehicles such a
forklift or dump truck.
Position is subject to participation in the plant’s Safety, Health and Environmental
protection programs.
Physical Requirements, Safety, and Work Environment:
- Must be able to work rotating shift schedule, holidays and weekends.
- Must be able to safely operate a fork truck
- Must follow all PPE requirements. Wear hard hats, specific-style boots in compliance with Vitro requirements, and respirator N95 (full and half face) with a face-to-respirator seal according to OSHA requirements.
- Able to work fast and efficient and willing to work overtime
Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills
Ability to effectively communicate
Physical Demands:
For this position, it is required to be able to lift up to 50 pounds
There can be repetitive use of hands required with simple grasping and pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds
In addition, this position requires the following abilities: standing, walking, lifting, reaching above shoulders, bending, and twisting.
