This role is a full-time position located on-site in Charlotte, NC. This role will be eligible for benefits.
In this role, you will make a positive impact on our patients by:
- Open/close the office.
- Welcome and greet patients and visitors in person or on the telephone; answer or refer inquiries, and, as appropriate, convert patient inquiries into appointments.
- Schedule patient appointments in person or by telephone to optimize patient satisfaction, provider time availability, and treatment room utilization.
- Prepare new patient packets.
- Patient check-in and check-out.
- Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying the provider of the patient’s arrival; review service delivery time compared to schedule; remind the provider of any service delays.
- Schedule necessary surgeries
- Answer requests for medical records; review records for accuracy and completeness; give to the nurse for approval to release.
- Answer questions about payments and insurance inquiries.
- Use the appropriate template to write and send correspondence to referring physicians, obstetricians, and patients.
- Order office supplies and contribute to the smooth operation of the office.
- Distribute mail and faxes; scan and file as needed.
You will be a great fit for this role if:
- High School diploma. Associate Degree in accounting or business preferred.
- 2-3 years experience in an outpatient medical office. Women’s Healthcare experience in private Practice is preferred.
- 2-3 years experience in patient financial services preferred.
- Strong skills in office computer applications, including EMR software, Microsoft Office, and Excel. Keyboard skills 25 wpm required.
- Competent with medical terminology.
- High-level listening skills. Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.
- Aptitude to work independently and demonstrate good judgment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
