As a Front of House (FOH) Team Member at Chick-fil-A, you will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring they receive excellent service and a memorable dining experience. This role involves greeting customers, taking orders, serving food and drink orders, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Front of House Team Member Responsibilities:
- Greets every customer with a warm, friendly attitude and ensures they feel welcome.
- Accurately take customer orders in the restaurant and in the drive thru, enters orders accurately into the POS system.
- Provides menu knowledge and suggests additional items (upselling) when appropriate.
- Serves customers promptly and ensures that the food meets quality and presentation standards.
- Processes payments using the POS, handles cash transactions, and ensures the accuracy of all transactions i.e. giving correct change to customers.
- Maintains cleanliness in the dining area, front counter, and restrooms by clearing tables, wiping surfaces, and taking out trash as needed.
- Works collaboratively with kitchen and other team members to ensure orders are completed accurately and quickly.
- Addresses customer inquiries and proactively works to resolve any complaints in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Follows all company policies, procedures, and food safety regulations to ensure the health and safety of customers.
- Completes the training required within the first two weeks of joining.
- Assists team leaders and members by refilling beverage containers, ice, condiments and cups, etc. This involves carrying loads of 25+lbs on a daily basis.
- Honors and encourages others to follow and fulfill the purpose and values of the Chick-fil-A Atlantic Avenue.
- Fulfills any other other suitable duties as assigned by the Leaders or Directors.
Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
- Must be available to work a minimum of three days per week including Fridays and Saturdays.
- Must be available to work from 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. or 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
- Prior experience working in the food service or customer service industry is not required but would be preferred.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work outside in the sun.
- Must be able to lift items over 25 lbs. on a daily basis.
