Full-Time Family-Assistant in Myers Park for a soon to be family of five - Charlotte's Best Nanny Agency

Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Myers Park in finding a Full-Time Family Assistant for a soon-to-be family of five, including their 3.5-year-old daughter, 1.5-year-old son, and a baby due in January. The Family Assistant would typically be needed Monday & Wednesday 11:00 am - 7:00 pm, Tuesday & Thursday 8:30 am- 4:30 pm, and Friday 10:30 am - 6:30 pm. (40hrs) It would be a plus if the Family Assistant had the flexibility to occasionally work 2:00/3:00 pm - 10:00/11:00 pm.

The best Family Assistant would be kind, attentive, trustworthy, dependable, and experienced in caring for multiple children. It is essential for the family to find an experienced Family Assistant who is self-motivated and can anticipate the needs of their children and home. As a SAHM, Mom is looking for someone who will divide and conquer with her while keeping an open line of communication. The Family Assistant must respect the family’s gentle parenting style and be comfortable caring for two toddlers and assisting the mom with a newborn. Their Daughter will be in preschool 5 days a week and their son 3 days a week from 9:00 am - 12:20 pm, the nanny will be expected to help with school pick up and getting them to their various activities. When the children are at school and during afternoon nap-time the Family Assistant will be asked to complete the household duties listed below. Throughout the day, the Family Assistant should be able to meet and exceed the children’s daily needs while limiting screen time and be active and engaged, creating fun and educational activities to help them meet their milestones. Their children enjoy reading books, arts and crafts, playing outside, going for walks, and to the playground. The family is looking for a Family Assistant who will be proactive in scheduling fun outings and adventures for the children throughout the community, such as MY Gym, Discovery Place, the Library, ImaginOn, etc. It is important for the family to find a Family Assistant who will be with them for years to come.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the children(Feeding, Changing, Napping)

• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the children both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the children

Household Duties Include (Children are first priority):

• Family laundry and changing sheets weekly

• Children’s meal prep

The father has celiac disease, so the Family Assistant must observe the kitchen rules to keep gluten items separate from non-gluten items.

• Unloading/loading the dishwasher and sanitizing bottles

• Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the children

• Picking up after the nanny and children throughout the day

• Keeping the common areas neat and tidy

• Emptying diaper pail and stocking diapers and wipes

Pets: The family has a Maltese/Yorkshire Terrier mix, and the Family Assistant will be asked to let the dog into the backyard throughout the day.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional Family Assistant experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Must be able to pass a drug screening

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Nanny should be fluent in English, any additional languages are a plus

• Must be up to date on vaccinations including the COVID-19 vaccine and booster, the annual Flu Vaccine, and TDAP prior to starting the position.

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts ASAP

• Legal pay is offered at $28.00 - $32.00 an hour, negotiable depending on experience
