We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Fund Operations and Compliance Consultant to join an industry leading Venture Capital firm located in New York, NY. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth administration of our venture capital funds, maintaining data integrity, and supporting our fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fund administration, experience with financial instruments like SAFEs, and a keen eye for data quality and compliance.
This is a 3+ month contract that will pay $110-120/hr (depending on experience) with a 40-hour work week. Qualified candidates who are 100% remote located in EST will be considered.

Responsibilities:
- Fund Administration: Manage and oversee fund administration activities, ensuring all processes comply with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Fundraising Reports: Assist in the preparation and management of fundraising reports, providing accurate and timely information to stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance checks on data housed within the Limited Partner (LP) Portal, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Data Management: Perform thorough data checking and manage document postings within internal and external systems.
- SAFE Agreement Review: Review and interpret the specific terms in Simple Agreements for Future Equity (SAFE), focusing on post-money valuation caps and ensuring accurate conversion of SAFEs into equity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in fund administration, venture capital, or a related financial service role.
- Strong understanding of SAFEs and other early-stage financial instruments.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Proficient in using fund administration software and LP Portals.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial agreements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
