Great Bay Community College is seeking qualified applicants who are interested in adjunct teaching at the College on a course-by-course basis; a strong academic background is required.
Semester: Fall Semester
Adjunct Faculty: Surgical Technology
The surgical clinical adjunct faculty instructor shall be responsible for the instruction and supervision of no more than 10 students during clinical learning activities at cooperating agencies in the surgical/operating room setting. This position is 25 hours per week for 16 weeks (Tuesday - Thursdays between the hours of 7a-3p). Days/times may be negotiable depending on instructor/site availability. The timeframe is August 9 - December 18, 2024.
Course: SURG215 Surgical Clinical I
Adjunct appointments are temporary, for a specified contract period and may require classroom or online instruction.
The compensation rate is $750-$900 per contact hour [or $47.00-$58.30 per clinical rate per hour if applicable]. Compensation will be determined based on the appointed adjunct faculty rank, which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.
The minimum qualifications for the position are as follows:
Education: Associate degree in Surgical Technology from a regionally accredited college or university. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credentials are required. Candidates must maintain certification through the terms of the contract.
Experience: At least two years of recent, relevant surgical technology experience in the operating room.
Licensure: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
