INTRODUCTION
Bodegas Taco Shop is a casual Tex-Mex taco shop and tequila bar that has proudly served some of the best tacos, burritos, nachos, and fajitas since 2009. It has become THE neighborhood spot for the Houston Museum District and Medical Center! In fact, seven of the major museums in Houston are within one block from the restaurant! Bodegas is for those looking for a truly authentic Houston experience from a local Tex-Mex favorite. With award-winning margaritas that were voted “Best margarita in Houston”, Bodegas sells some of the freshest margaritas in the city. The restaurant also offers delicious salsas and a spacious patio for outdoor dining.
Fia’s Pizzeria is a Houston Museum District favorite! Fia’s Pizzeria's goal is to bring people together locally, as well as tourists who are getting to know the Houston Museum District. We are proud to maintain a strong commitment to the community by creating fun, healthy eating options that are sustainably sourced. Fia’s Pizzeria become a Houston Museum District favorite because of its limitless toppings and healthy baked Buffalo Wings, to name a few reasons! Fia’s also offers huge hoagie sandwiches, popular pastas, large patio and a wide selection of local beers and wines for sale for on or off-premise consumption.

Bodegas Taco Shop and Fi'a Pizzeria are part of the HTX Restaurant & Catering Group which also includes their new restaurant Granger's.
COMPENSATION RANGE:
- $55,000 to $65,000 per year
SUPPLEMENTAL PAY:

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES - OVERSEEING BOTH CONCEPTS
- Responsible for daily manager’s report and other guidelines for effective and efficient shift management, including kitchen line checks and pre-shift service meetings.
- Responsible for manager’s agenda and opening and closing checklists for all departments.
- Assumes responsibility for labor in all departments, making sure all schedules are completed in accordance with the budget, and ensuring the best coverage for 100% customer satisfaction.
- Assures all management and staff training and development is performed correctly and thoroughly to ensure minimal staff turnover.
- Assumes 100% responsibility for coaching new managers and all employees per shift in all departments following job descriptions, policies, and procedures.
- Assumes 100% responsibility for reviewing incoming hourly applications and conducting initial interviews according to company guidelines.
- Assumes 100% responsibility for on-boarding owner approved hourly hires.
- Assumes 100% responsibility for assigning weekly goals to management team and ensuring their completion, while accomplishing his/her own goals determined by owner.
- Assumes 100% responsibility for operating the property in accordance with all state and local laws and ordinances.
- Ensures restaurant appearance (inside and outside) is up to company standards prior to every shift.
- Assumes 100% commitment to management, and continued employee training and development.
- Assures that all purchasing is done for the best quality products per specification and from approved vendors. Assumes 100% responsibility that all receiving is physically accounted for, at the price quoted for.
- Works in accordance with the accounting department, providing all accurate information needed to produce DSR’s, P&L’s, budget, and payroll.
- Responsible for overseeing and processing payroll.
- Works in conjunction with the marketing/pr agency to determine and execute all marketing strategies.
- Assumes 100% commitment to operate the unit within the means of the budget provided.
- Assures that all staff training material including but not limited to: Employee Handbook, Training Manuals by Position, and all policies and procedures are up to date.
- Works with the kitchen staff to assure 100% quality in our food product 100% of the time.
- Is trained and able to train staff in all TOAST POS functions and all associated software.
- Ensures 100% guest satisfaction during the shift.
- Pledges to perform job functions while upholding company policy and procedures according to company operating policies manual.
- Acts as role model for outstanding service; continuously works to elevate service standards, and personally embodies hospitality in daily actions.
REQUIRED TRAINING/ EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
· College degree preferred, but not necessary.
· Minimum of two years general manager experience.
· Must possess detailed knowledge of front and back of the house management.
· Must be proficient in budgeting, product ordering, perpetual inventories, staff selection, scheduling, training, and customer service.
· Basic knowledge of the Spanish language is a must.
· Must have Texas Food Manager’s and TABC Certifications.

· Available to work 50-55 hours a week.

This position reports to Director of Operations.
HTX Restaurant Group was established in 2005 with the opening of its first restaurant, The Park Grill in the Houston Museum District. Shortly after, the Park Grill began catering its American food fare like breakfast buffets, casseroles, wraps, panini’s, sandwiches, salads, and soups into the Texas Medical Center.
Since then the HTXRG’s culinary team has grown and created several new food concepts, Bodegas Taco Shop and Fia's Pizzeria. These are both brick and mortar restaurants that offer unique menus to our dine-in guests as well as our catering customers. The key to all these concepts is the variety now offered to our neighbors and catering clientele.
