GIS Developer
We are seeking experienced candidates to design, develop, and deploy geospatial applications and capabilities for a variety of large Federal GIS programs. You will be responsible for all aspects of the application lifecycle including requirements gathering, storyboarding, design, development, documentation, and deployment. You will assess, plan, design, develop, test, integrate, administer, maintain, support, and document new and existing applications and tools, and ensure development activities are performed in compliance with all agency and Federal policies. Positions will be hybrid in Northern Virginia.
In order to be considered for these positions, candidates MUST meet the following qualifications:
US Citizen or Permanent Resident with ability to obtain a Public Trust.
At least five years of paid, professional experience creating and maintaining web applications using ArcGIS Web App Builder Developer Edition, ArcGIS Dashboards, ArcGIS API for JavaScript, and/or ArcGIS API for Python.
Hands-on professional experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal for ArcGIS/ArcGIS Online; ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, and Portal for ArcGIS Administration experience.
Well-developed skills with .NET, JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS, Python, and Java; Web APIs, REST/OData, AWS, IIS, SQL.
Experience developing and maintaining custom widgets and/or code using JavaScript for Esri Web App Builder Developer Edition.
Skill developing scripts using Python and ArcPy to execute custom geoprocessing tasks.
Ability to work independently and proactively to take initiative to solve complex problems.
Candidates must demonstrate excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
GIS Analyst
We are seeking experienced GIS Analysts to support a variety of large Federal GIS programs by working with internal and external clients to gather and analyze business requirements and determine data needs. You will design and deliver data analysis, reporting, and decision-making to fulfill business objectives. Positions will be hybrid and in the DC Metro area.
In order to be considered for these positions, candidates MUST meet the following qualifications:
US Citizen or Permanent Resident with ability to obtain a Public Trust.
At least five years of paid, professional experience working in/with GIS-based data systems, geographical information systems (GIS), spatial data management, big data, manipulation and data modeling, data visualization.
Well-developed skills using ArcGIS Pro to perform geospatial analysis.
Experience developing scripts using Python libraries (e.g., ArcPy, GeoPandas, GeoPy, etc.) to develop automated data pipelines to support dashboards, data visualizations, and geospatial analysis
Skills with one or more of the following: R, R Shiny, Power BI, Tableau.
Experience in the SQL Server environment and with SQL queries.
Candidates must demonstrate excellent writing and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with multiple partners, working teams, and organizations.
Proven project management abilities, including experience in managing complex tasks, including short-term and long-term planning, goal and policy setting, and monitoring accomplishments.
A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
