Job Title: General Manager
Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee all aspects of our grain elevator operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grain handling, logistics, and personnel management, with a proven track record of optimizing operational efficiency, developing growth plans, and driving profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily operations of the grain elevator, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and implement strategic growth plans to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
- Oversee grain handling, storage, and shipping processes, maintaining high quality and safety standards.
- Manage and train staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Build and maintain relationships with farmers, suppliers, and customers.
- Analyze market trends and adjust strategies accordingly to maximize revenue.
- Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Monitor and report on operational performance metrics, making recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of operations experience in grain elevator operations or a related industry.
- Proven ability to create and execute growth plans.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in financial management and budgeting.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the grain industry.
