About the Job
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, this position will assist in the execution of general accounting tasks, including Accounts Payable, Cash Management and reconciliations.
Duties:
Entering invoices into the accounts payable system
Processing payments
Maintaining supplier/vendor records
Checking and verifying invoices
Preparing checks for payment
Tracking outgoing payments
Monitoring company expenditures
Maintaining records
Reviewing vendor and service provider agreement
Responding to queries from suppliers, customers, and staff
Assist with cash and check management, including:
Reconciliation of bank balances to internal systems
Researching and resolving routine bank/cash issues
Coordinate void and stop payment processing
Copy cancelled checks for adjusters and auditors
Maintain books and records accordingly.
Provide support in the areas of monthly journal entries and general ledger account reconciliation and analysis.
Provide general accounting and finance support as necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
2-3 years of experience in accounting or related finance.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Effectively communicates well with own team and across the organization.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
