Fibertek is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our Humanitarian Demining and Research Development Program. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge electrical systems and technologies that enhance our demining capabilities.
The Humanitarian Demining and Research Development Program (HDRDP) is a critical initiative within the C5ISR Center Countermine Division, dedicated to developing and deploying advanced technologies for detecting and neutralizing landmines and unexploded ordnance (UXO) in post-conflict regions worldwide. Our mission is to enhance global safety by providing innovative solutions that support humanitarian demining efforts, reducing the threat of explosive hazards to civilians, and facilitating safe and sustainable development in affected areas.
The HDRDP leverages state-of-the-art technologies, including advanced sensors, robotics, and machine learning algorithms, to improve the accuracy and efficiency of mine and UXO detection. By collaborating with international partners, NGOs, and local governments, we ensure that our solutions are effective, sustainable, and tailored to the unique challenges faced by each region. Our team comprises dedicated engineers, scientists, and researchers who are committed to pushing the boundaries of technology to make the world a safer place.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Develop electrical systems and components for advanced demining technologies, including sensors, robotics, and communication systems.
- Research and Innovation: Conduct research to identify and integrate new technologies and methodologies that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of mine and UXO detection.
- Testing and Evaluation: Perform rigorous testing and evaluation of electrical systems to ensure reliability and performance in diverse and challenging environments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and field experts, to develop integrated solutions for humanitarian demining.
- Field Support: Provide technical support and expertise during field deployments to ensure the successful implementation and operation of demining technologies.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate findings, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
- 3-10 years relevant job experience.
- Proven experience in the design and development of electrical systems, preferably in the context of sensors and robotics.
- Familiarity with demining technologies or similar applications is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and experience with hardware description languages (HDLs) like VHDL or Verilog.
- Knowledge of signal processing, circuit design, and embedded systems.

- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Willingness to travel for field deployments and collaborations as needed.

Work Schedule:
Currently, CMD personnel are typically on-site approximately three days a week, mission-dependent.
