About the Job
Forklift Operation:
- Operate a forklift to move materials within the warehouse or job site.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles using a forklift.
- Stack and organize products in designated areas.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the forklift and report any issues.
Material Handling:
- Assist with the loading and unloading of materials manually or using appropriate equipment.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, or job sites.
- Ensure that materials are properly labeled and stored according to company policies.
Inventory Management:
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate records of materials moved and stored.
- Assist with the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse or job site.
General Labor Tasks:
- Perform various physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
- Assist with assembly, production, or other tasks as needed.
- Ensure that work areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid forklift operator certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or industrial environment is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Basic math and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
