Job Description
- Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner according to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations and all company policies and procedures.
- Respond to work orders for cleaning/painting, minor repairs
- Pressure washing floors in wastewater treatment section of plant and using vacuum drum to clean up washwater from sumps
- Perform minor preventative and other maintenance on equipment.
- Clean facility grounds and equipment as scheduled or necessary.
- Paint and decal above ground storage tanks on annual timeline or as needed
This position requires the ability to work overtime and various shifts which may include occassional weekends.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic knowledge of equipment inspection
- Ability to communicate and document inspections
- Ability to work independently in a safe and efficient manner and follow safety policies and procedures
Physical and Mental Demands
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job responsibilities including lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, carrying, and extended periods of standing.
- May be exposed to extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, precipitation, wind, etc.) and to dust, and noise.
- May be exposed to significant truck and heavy equipment traffic.
- Ability to sit, and/or stand for 100% of an 8-hour day.
- Ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and/or coworkers.
- Ability to manage several tasks at once to meet deadlines.
- Ability to follow direction or instruction.
